Maryhill, Ontario, 17 St Charles Street East

Woolwich Township Fire Dept Maryhill Station

Federal Sign & Signal Model 5

This siren at the Maryhill fire station was used to call firefighters to the station before the 2000s but has been inactive for a long time and now the Township is going to replace the Maryhill station since the building is having issues and newer trucks are bigger than the trucks used to be the station will be torn down and a new station will be built in the same spot and the siren will be removed and kept for parts or as a spare siren for the Township.

As of 2022, the Maryhill fire station has been torn down for the new fire station to be built. The siren was removed and kept in storage for use as spare parts or spare unit.

Woolwich Township Fire Dept Conestogo Station

Federal Enterprises Model 2

This siren at the Conestogo fire station was a fire siren in 2004 but is now inactive. A recorded test of this siren was taken in 2004, the audio can be heard here: YouTube Video

The Siren Archive has pictures from 2005 showing a Canadian Model 2, my working theory is that the Canadian Model 2 was installed when the fire station was built in the 1970s but the siren's motor later gave out so the fire dept installed their older model 2 siren from their old station.
