FS Canadian
Model 2-3Z
This is a Federal Signal Canadian Model 2-3Z, manufactured in April 1986. It was previously used on Lincoln Fire Hall #3 in Vineland, Ontario, which is situated in Lincoln Township. This siren had a short period of usage, approximately 5 years before it was removed during the construction of a new fire hall in 1991. After removal, it was stored. Before this siren, a Sterling 2v8 was in use on the fire hall since around 1953 when the old fire hall was built. The Sterling 2v8 was likely replaced with the Canadian Model 2 in the 1980s when it broke. In 1991, when the siren was removed, the old fire hall was demolished, and a new one was constructed. However, the siren was never reinstalled on the new fire hall.
