Updates:

August, 2023

The Model 2 needs new motor parts in order for it to work again as the old parts are no good anymore. The 220V motor field is gone. The condition of the armature is unknown but was known to somewhat work when tested last. The armature does have a chip on one of the copper commutator bars.

The Model 2 is painted and has new bearings and brushes and works but goes up to 62 amps and then trips the breaker.

I will have to investigate the issue with it going up to 62 amps and not wanting to spin easily and the right way.

The Model 2 awaits either new motor parts or a field and armature rewind to work again

I am looking at the Housing/Shroud and I will possibly repair the holes and rusted-away spots at some point.

December 22, 2018:

I and my Dad took a grinder and ground the stripped bolts and screws and the top was free as well as the top and rotor and armature. We were able to get the field out by spraying the metal around the field and it came free of the rust. We had a good look at what we were dealing with and will try to repair it.
